D/Lakota Math Connections: Application
This form is for registering for the D/Lakota Math Connections workshop hosted by the Standing Rock Language and Culture Institute at Sitting Bull College. More information is available here: https://register.othokahe.com/w/courses/43-d-lakota-math-connections

This course may be attended online via Zoom or in-person at the Sitting Bull College campus in Fort Yates. Participants who would prefer to attend in person must apply by July 31, 2022 at 11:59 PM CT. Due to to public health protocols still in effect at Sitting Bull College, we have only twelve (12) in-person spots available on this course. Priority will be given to Standing Rock’s fluent speakers, followed by other Standing Rock members and descendants, and teachers in Standing Rock schools, followed by other groups. Within each group students taking at least once course for credit will be given priority (for more details, please see: https://register.othokahe.com/w/aboutus/). Applicants will be notified from August 1, 2022 whether an in-person spot is available to them; and if not, they may still attend the course online via Zoom.

We have only a limited number of in-person spots available due to public health protocols in place at Sitting Bull College. If you choose "Online via Zoom," your attendance is guaranteed. If you choose "In person", your application will be considered and spots will be allocated on August 1. If you are not allocated an in-person spot, we still encourage you to participate online via Zoom.
CEU or Credit? *
For each of your course selections, indicate if you would like to receive a Continuing Education Unit (CEU) or a college credit. CEUs will be funded for you by the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and no payment is necessary. Prices for college credit are available at https://sittingbull.edu/college-costs/

(2) Applicants who are taking this course for credit will *not* be officially registered for the course until they have returned the paperwork requested by Sitting Bull College.

(3) If you need to make any changes to your course choices after applying, please email dluecke@tm.edu. No changes can be made once classes have started.

(4) If you don’t attend the first day of class, your spot will be surrendered. If you know you will not be able to attend on the first day of class, please notify us via email: dluecke@tm.edu. Attendance will be a determining factor for earning the credit or CEU.

(5) Please follow any Sitting Bull College public health guidelines during the in-person event.

(6) Photographs and/or video recordings of the event may be made by the organizers to assist other learners and for promotional use. To opt out of your image and/or voice being recorded, please email dluecke@tm.edu.
