GPLS Digital Exhibits Program Application
Please use this application form to participate in GPLS' DigEx Program.

The questions below will ask you to sketch out the beginnings of your library's digital exhibit. You are not expected to have the perfect answers to all of these questions, but they should help give shape to your proposal.

Please note that all exhibit items must already exist in the DLG.

Applications will be evaluated for creativity, feasibility, and community focus. If selected, your lead project curator will be added to the digital exhibits curators cohort, where they will find support, help in developing ideas, and will benefit from others' experience working in the Omeka S platform.

Applications are due by August 31st for projects beginning October 1st. Exhibits will be launched online no later than May 1st.

Exhibit Design
As part of this pilot, your library will be responsible for designing one digital exhibit using content available in the Digital Library of Georgia. The following questions will ask you about your ideas for this inaugural exhibit.
Smithsonian Institution's Interpretive Hierarchy
THE BIG IDEA: Describe the topic or subject matter of your proposed exhibit. *
THE KEY MESSAGES: Describe the theme (e.g. the principle message) of your proposed exhibit. This should answer the question, "so what?" with respect to the exhibit topic. *
THE CRITICAL QUESTIONS: Describe 2-3 objectives for viewers of your exhibit. These can be learning objectives (what knowledge will the viewer have gained?), emotional objectives (what reaction do you seek to elicit?), or behavioral objectives (what do you want the viewer to do?). *
Exhibit Items
Digital exhibits vary in size, but for the purposes of this pilot we are asking each library to include between 12-20 images. Please copy and paste links to three items in the DLG that you anticipate including in your library's exhibit. At least one of your three items must be from your library system's digital collections.
