Data Basics Fall 2019 (Waiting List)
Data Basics is open to graduate students, postdocs, researchers, faculty, and staff from all disciplines and any skill level. The series is oriented towards folks who have little experience with computing and programming, but are motivated to learn these skills to help with their data-centric research.

Data Basics will be an 8 part workshop series will cover the following topics:

1. Data Centric Python with Jupyter Part 1
2. Data Centric Python with Jupyter Part 2
3. Computing Environments and the Unix Shell
4. Data Processing with Python and Pandas Part One
5. Data Processing with Python and Pandas Part Two
6. Data Visualization with Python
7. Relational Databases and SQL Part One
8. Relational Databases and SQL Part Two


The Data Basics workshops will be held on Wednesday afternoons from 1:00pm to 4pm beginning on September 25th and running for  8weeks until November 20th. Each session will spend 3 hours covering the topics listed above. We are asking that participants attend all 8 sessions as they will be taught in a sequence.
