HIS After-School Clubs | Quarter 2
HIS After-School Clubs exist with the intention to provide greater opportunities for students of HIS and friends of HIS (through referral) to engage and grow in areas that may not naturally fall within the academic program of the school. We hope that you will enjoy this provision as we continue to add more to the list of offerings. Please note important details about clubs, below.

CLUB LISTS WITH DETAILS

TABLE TENNIS
Days: Wednesday
Time: 3:00pm - 4:00pm
Age group: 5-12 years
Location: First Floor Playground at HIS
Cost: Rs. 250 per lesson
Duration: 10 Oct - 16 Dec
Expert: Mr. David
Other Details: Students will be provided with all materials needed for the club. We may offer this club twice a week depending on the demand and the number of sign ups. 

SPANISH/FRENCH
Days: Monday (5-7 years)
Days: Wednesday (8-12 years)
Time: 3:00pm - 4:00pm
Location: Creative Room at HIS
Cost: Rs. 300 per lesson
Duration: 10 Oct - 16 Dec
Expert: Ms. Ludmilla Glondu (Trained and certified Spanish teacher, and a native French Teacher)
Other Details: Spanish will be offered, while French will only be offered if there are sufficient new sign ups. Indicate your choice in the form below. Relevant materials such as books etc. will be provided. 

FOOTBALL (SOCCER)
Days: Tuesday
Time: 3:00pm - 4:00pm
Age Group: 5-12 years
Location: Football Turf Ground on Canal Road 
Transport: We require a few parent volunteers to help out in taking students from the school to the grounds. If you would like to be one, please let us know at info@his-ed.com
Cost: Rs. 300 per session
Duration: 10 Oct - 16 Dec

PIANO
(Classical Piano:ABRSM or  Contemporary Piano:Trinity)
Days: Monday & Friday
Time: 3:00pm - 4:00pm
Age Group: 7-12 years
Location: Creative Room at HIS
Cost: Rs. 400 per lesson
Duration: 10 Oct - 16 Dec
Expert: Mr. Bir Bahadur Rana (Trained and Certified Piano teacher)
Other Details: Students will be trained to appear for the grade level exams offered by ABRSM or Trinity College.

MACRAME
Days: Tuesday (5-7 years)
Days: Friday (8-12 years)
Time: 3:00pm - 4:00pm
Location: Creative Room at HIS
Cost: Rs. 400 per lesson
Duration: 10 Oct - 16 Dec
Expert: Ms. Varsha Lama (Macrame Business Owner)
Other Details: Students will be provided with all materials needed for the club and will be allowed to take their created work with them.

A child can sign up for more than one club as long as the two clubs selected do not happen on the same day. 
CLUB RULES & EXPECTATIONS
1. Students are expected to be on time to the club. 
2. All students must be respectful to their club leader and their fellow learners. 
3. Defiant behaviour, non compliance, use of inappropriate language will result in removal from the club for the student. 
4. Students are expected to handle with care all equipment and materials provided to them for the club, and must not touch, tamper or engage with any material that does not pertain to their club. 
5. If a student misses a class without prior information and without a valid reason, the class will be charged for. On the other hand, if the teacher is unable to lead a club any particular day, the class will be made up for in the next quarter. All payment settlement will be done at the end of the quarter or carried forward to the next quarter if the student continues in the club.
6. The school will not take responsibility of any student after 4:00pm. Therefore, it is imperative for the parents to pick up their child(ren) at 4:00pm. 
UNDERSTANDING
  • In the event of an absent club leader, the school will inform you if the club is cancelled. 
  • If you hear nothing from the school, the club will take place as usual. 
  • In the event of the club leader's absence, the school will either a) cancel and inform the parents b) find a capable substitute leader for the club (for which there won't be any communication)
TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. HIS holds the right to reservation to the after-school clubs. 
2. HIS may un-enrol a child from club/s if they are found to be in violation of the club rules, expectations and policies.
3. Payments are to be made in advance for the entire duration of the quarter. If you have a date within the quarter that you will not be available, please mention in the comments below.
