Academic institutions can struggle to support the training and development of Shared Resource Laboratory (SRL) staff, often due to a lack of an established career track. In the field of flow cytometry, there are plenty of training courses available for new users and for managers of SRLs, but there is a gap in the middle for mid-level SRL staff.
The aim of this survey is to understand what support SRL staff in flow cytometry facilities need for their training and development. The survey results will be presented at a CYTO2023 workshop and used as the basis for a discussion of
professional development gaps for SRL staff and potential solutions during the “Continuous Learning: Maximising your career
as an SRL technical expert” workshop on Monday 22nd May at 3.45pm in room 510B.
You will remain anonymous throughout this survey. At the end of the survey, you will have the opportunity to separately submit your email address in order to receive a summary of the survey results. The deadline for the survey is Friday 5th May.
