Huddersfield & District Model Aircraft Club have set ourselves a challenge - A VERY BIG CHALLENGE!

 To keep at least one model aircraft in the air at the Whams flying field from Dawn to Dusk.

 This means a very early start at 4.40am and a late finale at 9.30pm.

That’s a total flying time of 16 hours and 50 minutes. Or, one thousand and ten very long minutes!

 We know that this won’t be easy to achieve so as well as HDMAC members taking part we would like to invite our BMFA friends from other clubs to come along and help us out.

As well as being a day to remember we would also like to take the opportunity of raising money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

 We realise it’s going to be a long day so our world famous HDMAC catering staff will be on hand to provide food and drink to keep us going.
All proceeds from food sales will also go to Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

 To ensure that we are successful in our Dawn to Dusk challenge we need to make sure that there will be enough pilots throughout the day to always have at least two planes flying at any given time. It would therefore be appreciated if those interested in taking part can please let us know in advance, and also what time you can be available. This is so we can try and make sure that we have a steady supply of pilots throughout the day.

 It would also be great if everyone can spread the word especially on social media about our challenge and also include the JustGiving link so that we can raise as much money as possible for Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

 This is a great opportunity to help and give publicity to a worthy cause in Yorkshire Air Ambulance, our Clubs, the BMFA, and also our hobby.
