UCA's Makerspace, powered by the Conductor, is a collaborative, interdisciplinary workspace with tools to prototype concepts, make new things, and take ideas to the next level. The Makerspace is a free, shared space open to people of all ages, from all disciplines. The space is equipped with 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC machine, routers, and other digital fabrication tools, and offers Maker Trainings, classes, access to expert mentors and top-of-the-line equipment to cater to the central Arkansas community.

About
The Conductor Makerspace Volunteers oversee the day-to-day activities of the Makerspace by managing the 3D printers, laser cutter, CNC machine and soldering iron, leading the Maker Trainings, running events and supporting the Conductor's Makerspace programming.

Makerspace Volunteers assume leadership roles in the space and empower the community through making.

"Nice to Haves": Experience with 3D printing, CAD programming, 3D modeling, Illustrator, Inkscape, Photoshop, saws, drill presses, electronics.*
*Previous experience is not required. On-the-job training is integrated into the Makerspace Volunteer onboarding process.

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

The UCA Makerspace will sign volunteer credit hour forms for this position.
