Creative Sabbaticals provide individuals working in any discipline with a unique sanctuary at the historic Ragdale availability and offering an idyllic retreat setting for working on creative projects. Creative Sabbaticals may be booked for either 3- or 6-day sessions, based on availability.

Please note, filling out this form indicates your interest in booking a Creative Sabbatical to Ragdale staff. It does not guarantee availability and is not a booking. The Resident Coordinator will follow up with you to discuss the possibility of booking your Sabbatical. Creative Sabbaticals are not Ragdale Residencies and are not scheduled during regular Ragdale Residency sessions. Creative Sabbaticals do not include housekeeping or chef services.

Creative Sabbaticals are offered on a 3-tier pricing scale, based on an individual's ability to pay. The following pricing includes accommodations (bedroom with desk + private bathroom) and use of communal and outdoor spaces.

Tier 1: $100 per person per day ($300 total for a 3 day; $600 total for a 6 day)
Tier 2: $150 per person per day ($450 total for a 3 day; $900 total for a 6 day)
Tier 3: $250 per person per day ($750 total for a 3 day; $1500 total for a 6 day)
*For accommodation in the larger Alice’s Room in Ragdale House, or Prairie View Room in Hart McCutcheon House, add $20 per day.
*For the use of visual art studios, the Sybil Shearer dance studio, and the music studio, add $20 per day.

Check In Time: 3:00 PM (Friday for a 3-day Sabbatical; Monday for a 6-day Sabbatical)

Check Out Time: 10:00 AM (Sunday for a 3-day Sabbatical; Saturday for a 6-day Sabbatical)
