About the workshop:
As philanthropic approaches grow increasingly sophisticated and diverse, it is even more important for grantmakers to be cognizant of how to define and track the outcomes and impact they desire. In this session, Lindsay Louie, Program Officer for the Philanthropy Grantmaking Programme at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, will outline its strategy for effective philanthropy. This interactive workshop will offer a deep dive into topics such as outcome-focused philanthropy, a three-pronged approach to measurement, and enhancing relationships with grantees. She will share content, building in time for participants to reflect on how these approaches fit their own philanthropic practices and close with a panel discussion that brings in different perspectives on these topics from across Asia. Through the sharing of expertise, the workshop will provide capacity building to grantee organisations on aligning goals for collective action.
