Regenerative Training Scholarship Application

Kiss The Ground is excited to offer Regenerative Training Scholarships for farmers and ranchers seeking to transition their land management, and gain foundational knowledge on soil health and regenerative farming and ranching. We seek to equip both current and future generations of regenerative farmers and ranchers with technical advice, best practices, and strategies to successfully regenerate soil and create a resilient and profitable operation. Anyone can apply anytime through our online rolling application.

Available courses:

1. Regen Ag 101 Online - Presented by Soil Health Academy’s world-renowned teaching cadre, this nine-module course provides a comprehensive overview of the basics and benefits of soil health, as well as a practical foundation for regenerative farming and ranching success. Learn how to increase profitability, build resiliency into your land, decrease input costs, and improve the nutrient density and the marketability of the agricultural products you produce. Scholarship recipients will receive free, one-year access to SHA's Regen Ag 101 online course ($499 value).

2. Regen Ag Adaptive Grazing Online - Building on the foundational principles of Regen Ag 101, this training is a grazing-centric course that takes a deeper dive in exploring the Three Rules of Adaptive stewardship; observation as a key management tool; determining stock density; calculating forage biomass; the role of biology in improving grazing lands; building a grazing plan and more. Scholarship recipients will receive free, one-year access to SHA's Regen Ag Adaptive Grazing online course ($399 value).

*This course is only available for those who have completed Regen Ag 101 online course.

3. Regrarians®️ REX Online Farm Planning Program - Regrarians Ltd. is the world's leading farm planning organization, which since 1993 has worked with and trained tens of 1000's of people on many thousands of projects in over 80 countries. The Regrarians REX Farm Planning Program® is a detailed and holistic process that brings together the contexts of an individual, their family, their team and their community with that of the climate and the landscape and region they’re operating in. The program was created to determine the priority of different elements of agricultural landscape development, their respective permanence and the order in which we design and plan production landscapes and their associated enterprises. This scholarship gives full access to a Regrarians Planner Membership ($1,140 value): REX® Online Farm Planning Program, one-on-one mentorship with Darren J. Doherty, CPAg (AIA) and Georgi Pavlov, and Lifetime access to the Regrarians Workplace as a Planner Member Alumni.

ELIGIBILITY:
1) Must be 18 years of age or older
2) A U.S. resident farming in the US
2) Beginning Farmers or Ranchers
3) Student/Intern/Young Farmer/Rancher
4) Military Veteran Farmers and Ranchers
5) Educators/Advocates (Institution, Agency, NGO, Ag Consultants, and others)

REQUIREMENTS:
If awarded a scholarship, applicants have 90 days to register and complete the course, or funds will be returned to Kiss the Ground and we will offer the course to another applicant. By applying, applicants agree to give feedback on the chosen course by taking a survey, and may be requested to provide additional information, including testimonials, photos, and video content to be shared across Kiss the Ground's social media channels.

EXCLUSIONS:
Officers, Directors, employees and major donors of Kiss The Ground and scholarship selection committee members of this Scholarship Committee, and their respective family members are not eligible for this Scholarship program.
