Musical Theater Camp is a camp for K-12 graders in which they will put on a musical in ONE WEEK!
The Green Room Musical Theater Camp is offering two types of positions for those who wish to work camp: Teaching Artists and Interns
Interns—This unpaid internship is open to college students and rising high school seniors who have participated in shows or camps at The Green Room. It involves working from 8am-5pm each of the camp days and working strike after the show has closed. The responsibilities include daily camp preparation, moving groups around the spaces, assisting teaching artists and creative team, recording and learning blocking, music, and choreography for assigned group, setting up for and cleaning up after lunch, helping your group through the run of the show, and helping with strike.
Teaching Artists— This is a paid position is open to any individual over 18 who has participated in shows or camp at The Green Room in the past. You will be assigned a group of students and will function as their "Camp Counselor". You will guide them from place to place, learn, record, and reinforce any blocking, choreography, music, or content given to them in their different blocks as well as help them backstage during the show. Teaching Artists will also be required to help with strike following the performances.
Finding Nemo Jr will take place July 9-15
You must be available for the whole week.
Camp begins the evening of July 9th with orientation and "auditions". Then, Monday-Friday Camp hours are 9-4. Interns, Teaching Artists, and Creative Team will be required to be at camp from 8-5 to help set up/clean up. Saturday call TBA for two shows followed by strike.
