Registration is first come first serve, until full or by March 12th. All materials will be provided. Youth must enroll in 4-H in order to participate. If you have not enrolled yet go to https://4h.zsuite.org/, it will be free to enroll, choose "not in a club" for a club. This will also allow you to display the art work at 4-H fairs and art shows all spring/summer.
These workshops will be FREE if you sign up ONTIME and ATTEND. If you NO SHOW, or cancel within 6 days of the workshop you will be invoiced $20/no show youth. Please be respectful of the 4-H volunteers that fundraised to give our youth these experiences at no cost and the presenters that have worked hard on logistics and your fellow 4-H families that maybe placed on waiting lists!
FULL- Tuesday March 19th 6-7:00PM Botanical Paintings- Age 5-10: each participant will do exercises exploring "local color". They will work from a stilllife to "see" all the colors in an object. Students will learn about shadow, light, composition and techniques with acrylic paint to create an original piece.
Wednesday March 20th 6-8 Botanical Drawing- Age 11-18: Youth will instruction in "local color" and do exercises to learn shadow, light, composition and techniques with line and colored pencils. They will complete a piece from a detailed piece from a still life.
