Nous sommes des élèves de CEGEP, préoccupés par le projet GNL Québec / Gazoduq qui implique la construction d’une usine de liquéfaction au Saguenay et d’un pipeline de 750km, afin d’acheminer le gaz issu de sources fossiles de l’Ouest canadien jusqu’au port de Saguenay. La composante Énergie Saguenay du projet GNL Québec / Gazoduq est déjà en construction et destinée à être fonctionnelle d’ici la fin de l’année 2021: il nous faut agir, et vite!
Après avoir analysé près de 800 pages de documentation sur GNL Québec / Gazoduq, en provenance de diverses sources, nous avons donc rédigé une lettre aux ministres de l'environnement à l'échelle provinciale et fédérale, afin d'exposer les conséquences désastreuses de ce projet, aussi bien sur les plans environnemental, économique que social. Nous demandons aux ministres d'imposer un moratorium aux activités de construction de GNL Québec, et ultimement, de dire NON à GNL/Gazoduq, SANS CONDITIONS.

We are CEGEP students, concerned about the GNL Québec / Gazoduq project which involves the construction of a liquefaction plant in the Saguenay and a 750km pipeline to bring gas from fossil sources in Western Canada to the port of Saguenay. The Saguenay Energy component of the Quebec / Gazoduq LNG project is already under construction and is expected to be operational by the end of 2021: therefore, we must act, and quickly!
After reading and analyzing 800 pages of documentation on GNL Québec / Gazoduq from a variety of sources, we wrote a letter to the ministers for the environment, at both the provincial (QC) and federal (CA) levels, to explain the disastrous environmental, economic and social consequences of this project. We are asking the ministers to impose a moratorium on all construction activities and ultimately say NO to LNG/Gazoduq, WITHOUT CONDITIONS.
