THEME: Prophets in the Quran

COMPETITIONS
(to be prepared for before the camp)

Children who chose to participate should opt-in on this form and bring in their work when they come to the camp. All work will be displayed, judged and prizes awarded.

The participant will be judged under two groups:
Group 1 (aged 9-11 - DOB 1st April 2009 – March 31st, 2011)
Group 2 (aged 12-13 – DOB 1st April 2007 – March 31st, 2009)

Competition 1.  Creative Art (ensure work is mounted for display)
A4/A3 Drawing Paper / Card Paper / Canvas

Competition 2.  3D Model (in a box – not more than a foot in either dimension )
Please ensure that it is properly protected with the lid in place.

Competition 3.  Poetry (ensure that the poem is mounted on card paper)

COMPETITION 4. Memorisation of longer suras from the Quran - (From Surah 78 An-Naba to Surah 90 Al-Balad)

➢ Relevance to the theme – Quran
➢ Originality - (refrain for any kind of plagiarism)
➢ Creativity and meaningfulness

Recommendations on personal belongings
TO GET LIST

►Spare clothes, socks and underwears
►Appropriate Shoes and slippers (Sturdy and closed sports shoes are ideal. Avoid heeled shoes and pumps as the environment is wet and muddy)
►Plastic bags for worn clothes
►Outdoor Warm jackets
►Sleeping Bag including Pillow
►Toothbrush and Toothpaste
►Shampoo/Shower Gel/Towel
►Personal medicines
►Not more than £20 cash for gifts/snacks
►ONLY ONE good quality waterproof small suitcase to hold all personal items.

All items should be labeled.

ONLY A SMALL selection of snacks (halal meals will be provided on the campus)

DRESS CODE

BOYS:
• long, full-sleeved shirts (that do not display the midriff when in sajda. Also, No tight T shirts, please!)
• loose trousers (that do not slide down over the hips during sajda!)

GIRLS:
• Full hijab in loose Abayas / long shirts (below the knees) with loose trousers. (no skinny jeans)
• No make-up.
