This first 'Empathy' step is for teams to determine stakeholders and identify pain points. Because Design Thinking begins with a very human-centered approach, thinking about the primary experience and the challenge at hand, we want our teams to complete the empathize step by gathering a number of stakeholders' opinions to understand and describe the challenges from their perspective is central to the process.
