Position Description
Program Interns will work to assist in programming and operations logistics for the nine-week summer program at the Mounds Park Academy site, the Saint Paul School site, or the Chaska High School site. Program Interns will primarily be responsible for helping with the planning and implementation of logistic and programmatic tasks, ensuring processes are consistent and smooth, and managing site culture and spirit. They will also be responsible for co-teaching an elective course.

Responsibilities:
Prepare and distribute weekly homework organizing materials (Booyah Sheets)
Organize, distribute, and monitor inventory of program snacks and supplies
Assist students in their academic learning during academic study hall
Co-teach an elective course of their design
Prepare for, implement, and track daily academic trivia questions
Prepare for Friday Events
Participate in All School Meeting
Assist with additional programming tasks, as assigned
Build high-quality, professional relationships with BTC students, families, Teaching Fellows, Instructional Coaches, site staff, and partners

Qualifications:
Must be a 9th grade BTC student or older
Demonstrate strong leadership skills
Exceptional organizational skills
Ability to initiate and follow through on ideas and projects
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work effectively with staff, teachers, and other non-teaching interns during the summer
Ability to be present for all required times and dates
Strong connection to students
Demonstrate follow-through on responsibilities

Summer Program Dates:
Faculty Orientation: 6.13.2022-6.28.2022 (No Orientation on June 18)
Student Program: 6.29.2022-8.6.2022 (No classes on July 4)
Wrap Up Week: 8.8.2022-8.12.2022

Compensation: This is an unpaid, educational internship that we supplement with a $2,500 living stipend (paid in installments throughout the summer).
