LIVE VIRTUAL BGCCA SUMMER CAMPS!
While we are sad that our summer camps won’t run in the same way that it has for the last several years due to COVID-19, we are very happy to bring Virtual summer camps into your family's home this summer! We have worked hard over the last few months to develop an interactive and fun virtual camp experience that mimics the best parts of the club experience. Our program sessions are held at specific times and in an interactive way. This is important as we want to offer valuable social interactions to your kids where they get to spend time with two of our trained camp staff and other kids their age. Virtual summer camp is designed to keep your child engaged for 45 minutes to an hour a day, five days a week, and introduce them to fun activities and friends their age.

HOW DOES VIRTUAL SUMMER CAMP WORK?
Your child will join a virtual camper group with a minimum of 2 live Camp Counsellors and up to 14 other children their age. Each day of the week, for 45 minutes, your child will laugh, play, connect and learn with their camper group. Camp Counsellors have designed highly interactive and remarkably fun sessions tailored to your child’s age, and each week ends with a fun theme-based team challenge. Virtual summer camp is a great way for your child to connect with old friends and make new friends, while being creative and learning new skills.

HOW ARE VIRTUAL ACTIVITIES GOOD FOR MY CHILD?
We provide a good mix of educational activities as well as activities that are simply fun and allow your child to be social with their peers and our camp staff. They allow your child to dive into a world outside their home for 45 minutes. It always amazes me to see how well our participants respond to our virtual interactions! Besides, it gives parents a chance to do their own thing for a little while!

HOW DO KIDS JOIN EACH DAY?
Our virtual camp sessions are held over Zoom (no account required to join the sessions). Generally, our participants have their videos on so we can interact with them at all times. The platform allows for an interactive live experience that keeps the kids engaged. Ideally your child has access to a laptop, a phone or tablet for the time of the session.
