How did you view the What Were You Wearing event?
The “What Were You Wearing?” display provided me with a better understanding of how a victim of sexual violence might feel after the incident.
After viewing the “What Were You Wearing?” display I have re-evaluated my own personal beliefs, and I am now more aware of how our culture can blame the victim of sexual violence instead of putting the responsibility on the rapist.
After viewing the “What Were You Wearing?” display I have a deeper awareness of why the rape myth that “clothing causes sexual violence” is untrue.
By viewing the “What Were You Wearing?” installation, I have changed my own way of thinking and will commit to not asking the question, “What were you wearing?” to someone who discloses to me that they have experienced sexual violence.
