Class descriptions

Snowplow 1-4, are designed to teach toddlers how to learn to ice skate at the their pace of learning ability.

Basic 1-3, are designed for children who are 6 years and older to learn to skate forward, backward and stopping. Each level passed will progress into learning all other elements of ice-skating. These levels may be passed after one full session is completed. Some individuals may not be passed to the next level until their elements have improved and become consistently done.

Basic 4-6, these levels are designed to enhance the skills learned in previous basic levels. These levels may take more than one or two sessions to pass. Since all elements must be done consistently each week after they are taught. Some people may look into private lessons after the completion of Basic 5 or higher.

Teen/Adult classes combine the foundation of skating and technique but without testing at the end of each 6-8 week session. Participants in this program progress at their own pace and have individualized goals.

Parent-Tot Program, is designed to teach each skater how to develop the skills for both skating and hockey in a fun and encouraging environment. Parent participation is encouraged.
