Registration Form for Catechism classes
The Holy Family Syro Malabar Catholic Mission invites parents of children ages 5(by Aug 31st, 2023) and above to register their children to attend Catechism classes for the year 2023-24. Please use this form to register each child separately by June 30th.

Please read the following important notes before starting the registration process.
1. Catechism classes for the upcoming school year will be run in a hybrid fashion starting from the week of September 17th. We are planning to have online classes via Google Meet/Teams and in-person classes once a month which will be conducted before our regularly scheduled Syro-Malabar mass. 

2. Catechism classes will be conducted under the direction of Fr. James Joseph and taught by parent volunteers. All teachers will undergo VIRTUS training as well as be familiarized with the Diocesan safe environment policies related to online learning.

3. Students will be assigned to classes based on their age. Our Catechism program will follow the curriculum set by St.Thomas Syro Malabar Catholic Diocese of Chicago.

4. Parents will be responsible for monitoring their child's behavior while attending classes virtually. Teachers will ask the children to keep their video on to engage them and encourage their full participation. Parents of young children will be asked to sit with their children during class. We also request families to actively be engaged in extending the learning beyond the classroom and help the children learn prayers and bible verses at home.

5. We are planning for multiple in-person events throughout the year including a children's retreat in October. We also anticipate expenses relating to textbooks, gifts, prizes, food etc. for each student in addition to location rental for various events. We ask each family to prayerfully consider giving $150 per child or $300 per family to cover the expenses.

- Cash payment to Sebastian Poulose(Trustee, Holy Family Mission) at church during weekly Qurbana
- Online at https://holyfamilyseattle.org/donation/ - please choose "CCD ministry" and in the memo section, please mention "CCD Registration".
