The Beatitudes - Page 3
In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus gave us the Beatitudes to guide us in living a happy and holy life.  the Beatitudes sound familiar to us today because we hear them so often.  But in Jesus' time, most people thought that prosperity, power, and happiness were signs of God's favor, so the Beatitudes would have been quite a shock!  Below rate how well you live the Beatitudes right now.  Use a scale of 1 - 10, with 1 meaning "I don't live this Beatitude at all" and 10 meaning "I live this Beatitude every day."  This exercise words well as an examination of conscience before your next confession or a way to know yourself better and think about what kind of person you hope to become.
