Breeder Form
This form is for current breeders and those wanting to breed. There are additional concerns for breeders that do not apply to pet owners, and we want to cover them separately from the adoption applications. We do not recommend those under the age of 18 breed any animal, but in the event that their parent or legal guardian wishes to fully participate in every aspect of the breeding program we ask that they complete this form.

If you are wanting to breed, we understand that some of these questions will be more difficult to answer without research into them. Please answer them honestly & if you’re answer is “I don’t know/understand” we are happy to help. We hope this form will be a starting point for research into any topics you don’t know.

We are always available for questions/concerns.

Thank you!

What does ethical breeding mean to you?  *
Have you read over the AVMA guidelines for humane euthanasia yet? Name at least one approved culling method for rodents.          Hint: https://www.avma.org/sites/default/files/2020-02/Guidelines-on-Euthanasia-2020.pdf *
What is the difference between soft culling and hard culling?  *
Do you or are you prepared to cull down litter sizes? Mice & rats have evolved to have way more babies than they can properly care for, it's our job as breeders to reduce litter sizes to a manageable level for them.

If you are currently breeding, what number do you typically cull down to and why?
*
Outside of culling down litters, what are other reasons for hard culling a mouse/rat?  *
What medical supplies do you keep on hand? *
Which club are you a registered member of?

We do not require you are a club member, but we do offer a $5 discount per mouse/rat for members. You must be listed on their breeder listings to receive the discount!
