Have you ever wondered what the spaces between written words mean? How are these spaces verbalized? How do we know what’s a word and what’s not? Could those long German words be full sentences? What about an ‘-s” that turns one pen to many pens.  Is that a word? 

In this workshop, we will explore the concept of a morpheme and what that entails for a language. We will discuss how different words are formed and how you can identify them in different languages.
