IF YOU ARE A LINGUISTICS MAJOR!
Please note that only two of the required TESL courses may overlap with the Linguistics major: LIN 3010 and LIN 4721. In order to graduate with the TESL certificate as a Linguistics major, you CANNOT count TSL 3360, LIN 3680, TSL3378 or TSL 4940 toward your major requirements. This means that you must take four OTHER classes in addition to these for the major. Please check your degree audit to ensure that your TSL courses are not counting towards the major. If they are, please contact the Linguistics Undergraduate Coordinator, Dr. Jamie Garner (jrgarner@ufl.edu).
Next Step (IMPORTANT!)
To continue your TESL Certificate application, e-mail Dr. Jamie Garner (jr.garner@ufl.edu) to schedule an advising appointment. Failure to set an advising appointment with Dr. Garner will result in your application to the TESL Certificate program being denied.
