International Climate Fellows
The International Climate Fellows (ICF) program is a global initiative that helps develop the climate change leaders of tomorrow and builds the capacity of partner organizations working on the frontlines of the climate crisis today.
Fellows are recent graduates of universities with diverse educational and personal backgrounds who show exceptional promise and an interest in working on the climate crisis. If selected, fellows serve one year in a partner organization in a Global South nation that is working to address some aspect of the climate crisis. During the fellowship year, fellows participate with the other members of their cohort in programming designed to further their climate education, share knowledge and experience from working with their partner organizations, open career pathways, and cultivate a lifelong network. Fellows are fully funded, receiving a monthly stipend to cover living expenses.
Partner organizations are small to medium-sized organizations based in the Global South that are working on the frontlines of climate change mitigation or adaptation. They might include private sector startups or nonprofits, but they are united in that they have all been vetted for reputation, integrity, and impact. Fellows are paired with organizations based on interests, background, and aptitude. Each partner organization hosts one fellow per cohort year.
