Before attempting the quiz, you may read an overview of the topic given below which will make you feel easier to answer the questions.

Overview:

Air is a mixture of various gases.  Nitrogen and Oxygen are the two most abundant gases of air. The third most abundant gas is Argon. Although greenhouse gases like  carbon dioxide account for a rise in global temperature, they maintain the minimum temperature of the earth  conducive for life. Air also contains Ozone gas. It is a toxic gas at the ground level, but  has a great role to play at the upper stratosphere to support life as it absorbs most of the harmful radiation from the sun. Air also contains dust particles and water vapours. Too much particulate matter generated by burning of fossil fuels causes a haze called the Smog reducing the visibility. The amount of water vapour in air keeps on varying depending on the temperature. Certain gasses released from industries and automobile exhausts get dissolved in the water vapours of the  air that falls back to the earth in the form of Acid rain. Monuments like the Taj Mahal are at risk to acid rain as the marble of which they are made lose lustre  on reacting with the acid rain. Hot air rises up as it is lighter than cold air. While Oxygen is the most reactive gas of air, Hydrogen is the lightest gas . Nitrogen is a chemically passive gas and it can be directly taken by the pants from air to make certain nitrogenous substances needed for their growth. We should plant trees and check air pollution for a cleaner and better air.
