Goldendale Kiwanis Community Service Award
Scholarship Application Instructions:

The Kiwanis Club of Goldendale sponsors this service award. Kiwanis is an international service organization dedicated to providing assistance to young people in both our own community and around the world.

The purpose of this award is to provide an incentive for students to engage in an exemplary level of community service and volunteer work. Examples of such service include assisting the elderly or persons with disabilities, serving as a volunteer tutor for young children, assisting Goldendale's service organizations with community improvement projects, or volunteering at Klickitat Valley Health.

AWARD: $ I ,000 Scholarship to be announced at graduation.

PROCESS: Students wishing to apply for this scholarship must complete an application and submit to the Counseling and Career Center no later than APRIL 29, 2023.

Page 1 is your application cover letter. The letter must include your name, mailing address, phone number, email address and high school GPA. In addition, write a 200 to 300 word introduction to describe your post high school educational plans and career goals. Add your signature block and sign the page.

The second and subsequent pages should address one or more (a maximum of three) community service activities or projects (one page each) you believe best qualifies you for this award. Include a description of the project or award and amount of time involved. Describe what skills, knowledge and insights you learned by participating in this project or activity. Each page should be initialed and attached to your cover letter.
