I acknowledge that I have stated any existing injuries or medical conditions that I suffer from on this form and take sole responsibility for seeking medical clearance before participating in any dance class. I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to inform Stepaside Studios of any injuries or medical conditions I may suffer from during the class term. I also acknowledge that Stepaside Studios does not take any responsibility for injuries sustained during, preceding or following any dance class. I further acknowledge that any choreography taught during classes remain the intellectual property of Stepaside Studios and may not be used in any class or performance unless authorised.

1. Fees are calculated in four increments over twelve months. Each increment is either an 8, 9, 10 or 11 weeks depending on the calendar set for the year. Term fees remain at this fixed price set on the Fees Structure. Classes do not run on Public Holiday Weekends.

2. Classes need a minimum of 5 students to run. Classes under 5 students may be cancelled. In the event that a class is cancelled you will be offered a full refund of lessons not taken or a transfer to another class. This excludes private lessons. Duo lessons will not run unless both students are present. Private lessons are set at booked times and can only be rescheduled at the discretion/availability of the teacher.

3. In the event that you cannot attend a class, you can advise administration via email before your term's fees are sent. If you miss a class, you will be offered a makeup class to the same value of that class in the same term only. Credit or refunds are not given for missed classes. Classes do not run on Public Holidays or their adjoining weekends.

4. Enrolment is for one calendar year of classes. You may cancel your enrolment during term; however a 'VARIATION / CANCELLATION OF ENROLMENT' form must be submitted via email. Failure to produce this form within 14 DAYS of lessons ceased will result in fees being payable for that period. Any costumes that have been ordered for you or examination fees paid on your behalf must be paid and finalised.

5. Term Invoices are sent via email & allow for 14 DAYS for full payment to be made. After this time, a 10% Late Fee is applied and a revised invoice sent until payment is made. No changes can be made once a late fee has been issued. If fees remain outstanding 14 DAYS after the due date, the student is not be permitted to attend class until full payment is made. Fees must be paid by their due date to attain discounted rates. Payment for each term is by cash, card or direct deposit. All card payments incur a 2% transaction fee. A non-refundable $35 dishonour fee is passed on to the student's account if a bank transfer error occurs. If you require fees to be placed on a payment plan, this must be approved by the Studio Director in writing before the commencement of the current term. Any unpaid outstanding fees are reported to the Credit Reference Association. This includes any late fees which are ignored.

6. Registration Fees & Concert Costume Deposits cannot be refunded under any circumstance.

7. A non-refundable Costume Deposit of $50.00 per student is invoiced with Term 3 fees and the remaining balance is due with your Term 4 invoice. This deposit goes towards the fees for dance costumes at the end of year concert. All costumes and outstanding fees must be paid in full to receive costumes and participate in the end of year concert. If your child does not wish to participate in the concert, we will need written confirmation before the end of Week 2 Term 3 to ensure no costume is ordered. No written confirmation will result in a costume purchase and full payment required.

8. Students wishing to perform in the end of year concert are required to attend an extra dress rehearsal/photo day in the lead up to the event. They may also be required to attend additional rehearsals on alternate days to their regular class scheduling.

9. It is the student/parent/guardian responsibility to keep enrolment details up to date.

10. For the comfort and benefit of all students, spectators are not permitted in any class at any time. An open week is scheduled for the last week of Term 1 & Term 2, where friends and family are invited to watch classes.

11. For student safety, students must wear the appropriate dance footwear to class. Students are also required to follow the uniform guidelines set for their class/es including their hair being tied back.

12. A parent or guardian must collect students from the Reception door. When a child leaves the building, they are out of the care of Stepaside Studios. Dancers under the age of 5 should have at least one parent/guardian on site during class time. All students must be supervised in the foyer area when waiting for their class to commence and must be picked up on time at the end of their lesson. No students are permitted inside the studio without supervision of a Stepaside Studios staff member. A copy of the 2021 Policies Outline is available for viewing at Reception. Email office@stepaside.com.au to request a copy for your records.

13. I give permission for Stepaside Studios to take, store and publish images or recordings of the student enrolled. These may also be used for promotional purposes or posted on official Stepaside Studios social media accounts. Any changes to this clause may be requested via email.

14. Based on the Australian Privacy Law and Practice Privacy Act (ALRC Report 108), under Clause 69, I understand that absolutely no photography or videography is permitted at any time within any studio. Only teachers may do so as a learning tool at the request of the Studio Director.

15. Uniform Orders cannot be cancelled after being placed, and must be paid for in full.

16. Anti Bullying Policy - The safety, treatment and wellbeing of Stepaside Studios Staff & Students is of the highest priority and taken very seriously. Written, verbal or physical abuse as well as bullying or slander will not be tolerated under any circumstance. Any breach of this code of conduct will result in the offending person/s being asked to leave the premises, and may also result in the termination of their child’s enrolment at our studio.

17. Stepaside Studios is a proudly registered COVID Safe Business. Terms and Conditions may be altered to reflect Government and industry guidelines/recommendations. Please refer to our website and Facebook page for updates.

18. Stepaside Studios reserves the right to make changes to these terms and conditions at any time.
