Toronto Urban Big Sit - Saturday May 18th, 2024
Please register below and indicate if you require a chair. You are encouraged to sign-up for as many blocks as you plan to stay for! It is not limited to a single hour per person. Come for an hour, or stay for the whole event.

Big Sits are counting events with the aim of finding as many species of bird as possible while staying within a defined area. This event is for all ages and birdwatching levels. There will be birding experts onsite to guide your experience. This Big Sit will be located within High Park, near the entrance off of Parkside Drive, at the intersection of High Park Blvd and Centre Rd (see map).

Chairs and binoculars will be available for lending, as will clipboards and checklists.

How to Prepare: 

Dress for the weather! Bring water, a hat, an umbrella and sunscreen. Bring binoculars if you have them. Limited pairs will be available for loan. 

This event is hosted by Toronto Bird Celebration and Fjallraven. The Toronto Bird Celebration, is coordinated by Birds Canada.
