Day course. Introduction to map and compass skills.
The course will include some theory and practice, both on track and off-track.

Learn how to:
- read a map (e.g. identify hazards and features, read coordinates, estimate walking time)
- use a compass (e.g. find north, understand magnetic vs true north, take bearing, follow a bearing, triangulate to find out where you are on the track)
