Upcoming Lockdown and Evacuation Drill:

In an effort to prepare our employees, students, and families for possible emergencies, we will be holding an evacuation drill on Tuesday, October 11th (the day before fall break). The location for our evacuation is the church house just east of the 4000 S 4700 W intersection (see map 1). Possible reasons for an evacuation include gas leaks, bomb threats, fires, severe earthquakes, lock downs, etc. Prior to the evacuation drill, we will perform a lock down drill. This will take place at approximately 2:00pm. The local police department will be participating in this drill, and will then escort us to the church for the evacuation portion. By 3:00pm, students will be lined up on the field area of the church property (see map 2) and ready to be picked up.

Student Pick-up Procedures:

Students may only be picked up by individuals who are listed on their Aspire contact list (please update this information ASAP if needed). All adults who pick students up will need to arrive at their assigned time (see below), park their vehicles in the church parking lot, have their IDs ready, check out their students with individual teachers (Q2 students will be grouped by advisory teacher), and exit promptly to decrease congestion and wait times in the parking lot. Please note that each teacher will have a clipboard with a checkout list and their students’ contact information. Again, adults will need to show their IDs and sign each of their children out from the students’ individual teachers (advisory teachers for Q2). Please note that all students who regularly go home on a daycare bus will be grouped together under the church bowery (see map 2). Daycare providers will need to follow the above pick-up procedures in order to check students out.

To expedite pick-up, please ensure that adults picking students up are familiar with the names of the teachers they will check students out from (this does not apply to daycare providers).

Pick-up Times:

The below pick-up times are based on the LAST NAME OF THE ADULT who will be picking students up at the church.

Adult’s last name beginning with letters A-C: Pick up between 3:00 – 3:15

Adult’s last name beginning with letters D-J: Pick up between 3:15 – 3:30

Adult’s last name beginning with letters K-P: Pick up between 3:30 – 3:45

Adult’s last name beginning with letters Q-Z: Pick up between 3:45 – 4:00
