Declaration of an MAT track does not guarantee admission into the MAT; you must still complete all required prerequisites and tests, meet our GPA requirements, submit letters of reference and be screened by the educational studies faculty. However, declaration of a track ensures that you are on a smooth path to the MAT! You will have priority in registering for classes, access to a faculty advisor in the Department of Educational Studies, and the peace of mind of knowing that if you continue to meet our expectations, we will have a spot reserved for you in our MAT program.
