Thank you for your interest in joining UNC's National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) chapter.
The number of Latinx students at UNC Hussman has grown over the years. Both of us look forward to creating this chapter to host student workshops and networking events. We also want to invite professional guest speakers and create a space for Latinx journalists at UNC Hussman. We are working to plan potential events and guest speakers to visit our chapter (or by Zoom due to the pandemic).
Our chapter advisor will be Paul Cuadros, a professor at UNC Hussman. He has taught at UNC for over 15 years, and been very influential in supporting the Latinx community through the creation of the Carolina Latinx Center, UNC’s on-campus resource for Latinx students. He was a previous NAHJ member and knows the organization well.
Being a journalism student and/or a Latinx student is not required! You must simply have an interest in journalism and the desire to learn about and cover the Latinx community.

Please fill out this form if you are interested in joining us. More information and details are to come. Thank you!
