The above applicant is applying for a seasonal position as a program teaching assistant/mentor for the Verizon Innovative Learning program, a three-week non-residential program for 6th-8th grade minority students. The program provides these students with access to high-level technology and entrepreneurship skills as well as opportunities for personal enrichment and leadership development; individual growth and group cooperation. The participants gain an appreciation and understanding of STEM, as well as take part in recreational opportunities and take on new responsibilities while building a positive living community. We are interested in a frank appraisal of the applicant's motivation, ability to lead, and the quality of his or her work and school experience.
