Exploring the NHD Categories: A Teacher Workshop Series
As the NHD affiliate coordinators in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine and Rhode Island, we are excited to bring you this series which will allow participants to gain a deeper understanding of each NHD category from both a professional who works within the realm of that category as well as teachers and students who have competed in these categories!

Please use this form to register for each session you are interested in. The schedule is as follows:

Tuesday, August 11th
10AM--Intro to NHD with Lynne O'Hara, Director of Programs at National History Day
1PM--Breakout sessions for each state with your affiliate coordinator (this is a great opportunity to ask specific questions about your affiliate contest!)

Wednesday, August 12th
10AM--Q&A with NHD Maine student and teacher team, Madison Albert and Kathi Kearney from Greely Middle School
1PM--Exhibits with Dr. Libby Bischof, Executive Director, Osher Map Library at the University of Southern Maine

Thursday, August 13th
10AM--Documentaries with Rhode Island PBS Producers, Scott and Maria Saracen
1PM--Q&A with NHD Maine student, Matthew Gilbert, from Greely High School

Tuesday, August 18th
10AM--Websites with Elaine Koontz, IT Manager at National History Day, and
11AM- Joe Schmidt from the Maine Department of Education
1PM--Q&A with NHD Rhode Island student, Lily Trunzo from Ponaganset High School

Wednesday, August 19th
10AM--Performances presentation with Lee Nishri-Howitt, an independent vocal coach associated with the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, MA
1PM--Q&A with NHD Rhode Island student and teacher team, Avary Serpa and Samantha Hedden from St. Philomena School and recorded insights from NHD Connecticut student, Lindsay Moynihan from Conard High School

Thursday, August 20th
10AM--Papers panel discussion Don Rogers of NHD Connecticut, David Richards of NHD Maine, and Sara Georgini with NHD Massachusetts
1PM--Q&A with NHD Connecticut student, Ishan Prasad from Staples High School
