Thank you for your interest in joining STAIR's commentary section. We're looking for contributors to author Opinion and Current Affairs pieces of 500 to 2,500 words.
Contributors are not required to regularly produce articles - we will simply add you to a WhatsApp group where articles will be advertised when available. You can of course also come to us with article ideas.
However, if you wish to take on a more active role and become a Columnist, you will be expected to contribute on a monthly basis and will be sent potential articles first, allowing them the opportunity to regularly contribute. If you are interested in becoming a columnist please state so on the form - you will have a six week trial period during which you must submit two pieces (one must be >1000 words) to be considered as a potential Columnist, even if those pieces in particular are not published (although we would welcome them as such provided they meet editorial standards).
The Commentary section of STAIR is newly launched - so please bare with us as we adjust our structure and approach over the course of the year! If you have any ideas, always know that they will be welcomed :)
