This year's International ShakeOut Day is October 20, when millions of people worldwide will participate in earthquake drills at work, school, or home!

Locally, Humboldt County Office of Emergency Services is collaborating with numerous county, state, and federal agencies, along with some local community based organizations, to provide a training opportunity to practice real-life communication scenarios for a large earthquake event. Volunteers are needed for this local preparedness drill.
To participate, you have the option of reporting from the field or assisting at the OES Emergency Operations Center or Mobile Communications Trailer.
