Registration for Climate Science with Ocean Networks Canada
This educational offering examines the causes and consequences of global warming and culminates in a student-led discussion to empower students to build on their knowledge and propose actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (please view https://youtu.be/8d3lnEEBoco for examples of actions proposed by a class of middle school students immediately after receiving the climate lesson). For classes interested in pursuing climate action projects, University of Victoria undergraduate students are available as mentors to your students. Please note that for Fall 2020, this offering will be delivered virtually.

Includes:
-Videos of hands-on activities that students can do at school or at home
-Student worksheets (and teacher answer keys)
-Authentic data  
-Traditional Ecological Knowledge shared by Inuit knowledge holders

Suggested Curriculum Alignment:  
Science 7, 8, 9, 10; Science for Citizens 11; Earth Science 11; Environmental Science 11, 12; Chemistry 11; Physical Geography 12

30 minutes/day over 4 days, or adaptable
