Gotterbarn and Moor (2009) argued that at least some video games should be produced to promote realistic ethical reflection and action. They offer an ethical framework of Just Consequentialism to allow for realistic ethical decision-making and embedded ethical content for game designers to add in order to create more interesting, ethical, and dynamic action video games.  As a future technology creator, what is your position on this argument that video game creators should embed more ethical decision-making and rewards for ethical behaviors into their game experiences? It is now + 10 years after this article was written, so have you encountered video games where you were required to consider the ethics of your behavior and what were the rewards or consequences for this type of decision making? Did those ethical decisions align with the article's brief description of Just Consequentialism? Why or Why not? *
