Help your child find page 9 in their handbooks. Read aloud the title. Ask: Who were Adam and Eve? The first man and woman God created. Stress that God wanted Adam and Eve to be happy and gave them everything they needed, but they made an unloving choice and disobeyed God. God was unhappy with them, but he still loved them and made a special promise. *
Help your child to read the four lines at the top of the page. Ask: Who did God send to save us? Jesus. Ask: Who did John the Baptist tell people God was sending to save us? Jesus. Reread the last line. Ask: What does Jesus mean when he says this? Because of Jesus, we will be ale to live forever with God in Heaven. *
