As many club members often run by themselves, and in less populated locations, personal safety always needs to be a concern. We therefore thought it would be good for club members to have some skills training and strategies for self defense.  Further info about the session can be found in the link in the Club Weekly Bulletin.

A self-defence session using Krav Maga session has been arranged:

* On Saturday 28th May
* From 9:30 - 12:30
* Olveston Primary School (Elberton Rd, Olveston, Bristol BS35 4DB)

Cost: £9.50 (Club is significantly subsidising the cost)

The deadline for signing up is Friday 29th April. We need 20 people and this date gives us time to consider other options or cancel the instructors and venue.

As this is a cost to the club, for a small group of members, to qualify the following club rules apply:

1. You must be a fully paid up FULL ADULT or FAMILY member of TRC and have renewed and paid your membership for 2022-23. If you are NOT a full adult or family member and would like to attend please contact captain@thornburyrunningclub.co.uk
2. We do need 20 people to make the economics work and we will operate on a first come first served basis.
3. We will let you know early May if you are one of the first 20 to apply and you must then pay the full fee by mid May to secure your place.
4. If you are subsequently unable to attend you are responsible for finding a replacement, no refunds
5.  If we get more than 20 people we will keep a reserve list. These names will be used in the event of non-payment by the payment deadline as replacements. The names will also be offered to you in the event that you are unable to attend (see point 4 above).
6. If we receive less than 20 applicants from the Club we will then offer any remaining places to non-members at full price (£25.50)
7. If we still cannot 20 people the event will be cancelled.

You will be required to sign a Physical Activity Readiness Disclaimer (PARQ) an disclaimed supplied by British Krav Maga in order to participate.
