This training for
people who want to make a difference in the lives of children by teaching effective, engaging yoga classes that align with developmental stages from birth to adolescence.
Our training has a unique focus on combining solid understanding child development progression and its relation to Yoga practice and philosophy with the instincts and playful creativity of the instructor. Trainees will learn how to work with the natural energy and interests of their students, so they can have more fun and less frustration while building their dream yoga program or career.
THE TRAINING MODULES
The training has several modules, some offered in-person, some offered live online, and some self-paced:
Self-paced online prep:
- Introduction to Children's Yoga (self-paced online*)
- Child Development for Yoga Instructors (self-paced online*)
Age-Based Modules: hybrid: self-paced online, live in-person/online
- Baby Yoga & Play (8 hrs in-person / 26+ hrs total)
- Tot and Toddler Yoga (14 hrs in-person / 34+ hrs total)
- Kids & Preteen Yoga (4-12 yrs) (14 hrs in-person / 34+ hrs total)
Mentoring & Certification 10-week Course with one live/In-person retreat
- Advanced Topics and Mentoring (24 hrs live / total varies)
Trainees who complete all the modules would be eligible for the Yoga Alliance It is possible to register for the 95-hr Registered Children's Yoga Teacher status (training approval pending).
*We welcome trainees who wish to do age range modules independently, but please note that the first Introduction and Child Development entirely self-paced modules are an integral part of all three age ranges. They are included in registration for any of the age range modules, but trainees only need to complete them once.
