A reading challenge for all current K-5 students in Lawrence Township.
Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Graders have a goal of 240 minutes each month. (at least 20 minutes a day, three days a week)
3rd, 4th, and 5th graders have a goal of 480 minutes each month.  (at least 30 minutes a day, four times a week)
All students that participate in the Susan Jordan Summer Reading Challenge will be eligible for the school celebration in August.


Los estudiantes en kinder hasta quinto grado tienen la oportunidad de participar en un reto de lectura durante el verano.
La meta de los niños en kinder, primero y segundo grado es leer 240 minutos cada mes. Son aproximadamente 20 minutos, tres dias por semana. La meta de tercer, cuarto y quinto grado es leer 480 minutos cada mes. Son aproximadamente 30 minutos, cuatro dias por semana. Todos los estudiantes que participan en este reto de lectura podrán asistir una fiesta en agosto.

If the reading logs are turned in by August 6th you will be invited to an ice cream party held at the school.  The top 3 readers with the most minutes read from June through July from each grade group (1-2,3-4,5-6) will represent his/her school at a" Readers Are Leaders" luncheon with their principal.

The top three readers with the most minutes read from June through July from each grade level group (1-2, 3-4, 5-6) from across the district will be recognized by Dr. Smith at a School Board meeting and receive a Readers Are Leaders personalized medal.

Todo los estudiantes que entregan su registro de lectura antes del 6 de agosto serán invitados a una fiesta de helado en su escuela. Tres estudiantes de cada grado tendrán la oportunidad de asistir a un almuerzo de “Los lectores son líderes” con el director de su escuela. Estos estudiantes serán elegidos basados en cuantos minutos hayan leído en el mes de junio y julio.

Los estudiantes de cada grado que hayan leído la mayor cantidad de minutos en el mes de junio y julio serán reconocidos por Dr. Smith. Habrá representantes de cada escuela de todo el distrito. Recibirán una medalla personalizada de “Los lectores son líderes.”

August 6, 2021 –  Complete your reading logs using this form or turn in your signed paper reading logs to your new teacher or principal.
