We live in a fast-paced, moving society. We travel for a variety of reasons, including employment, study, leisure, and, unfortunately, need. Migrants make up 5% of the European population, however most migrant populations struggle to be included and valued as they should be.
During the event, organised by the Active Youth Association as part of the Youth Connections project, we will learn about how migration looks like in Lithuania, the experiences of one of the largest organisations working with refugees in the Baltics, and the tools that can be used to promote social inclusion of migrant communities. To discuss this, the event will feature Yusuf Muhammadzoda, director of the Lithuanian Refugee Council, and Viktorija Pociūtė from Active Youth Association.
During the event, we will gather support for the people of Ukraine. Currently, the most needed food is long-lasting food: fish, meat, vegetable cans, pasta, chocolate, dried fruits, nuts, cookies, coffee. The gathered food will be transported to Ukraine.
