This form must be completed by every Rocky Run student.  

After-school activities will be a blend of homework assistance, tutoring, school clubs, community service, arts and crafts, leadership, recreation and sports, and other activities.  Students will be provided bus transportation home on late bus days (Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays). Students must live within the appropriate walking/biking distance or have parent pick-up on Fridays.  Bus stops differ from the regular bus stops.  Students should check the bus listings available in the lobby and main office.  Bus routes will be available in early September.  Families will be notified via a News You Choose message about how to access the late bus information. All after-school information will be posted on Rocky Run’s website.  The After-School Program and late buses will begin on Monday, September 19th.

Continued participation in the After-School Program is contingent on the student’s attention to school behavioral guidelines.  Student participation in the After-School Program may be denied and parents may be asked to pick up their child if the guidelines, including chronic lateness to check-in, are not followed.

I hereby grant permission for my child to participate in the Rocky Run After-School Program during the 2022 - 2023 school year. I understand that participation by my child is completely voluntary, and that some of the planned physical activities may expose my child to some potential injury. I agree that, to my knowledge, my child is physically and medically able to participate in these activities. If any injuries do occur to my child, I also understand that school personnel will respond in the same manner that occurs during regular school hours.

In case of early closing due to inclement weather or emergency conditions, all after-school activities will be canceled and all bus students will be sent home on their regular buses.  

The After-School Program will not meet on student holidays, early release days, or during inclement weather cancellations. In addition, there will be no after-school activities or buses on the following dates: October 7, November 21-22, December 16, January 13, January 24, February 17, May 26.

The after-school program being operated at this site is exempt from licensure as per §22.1-289.030 of the Code of Virginia and has no direct oversight by the Virginia Department of Education.
