Title: Transform EV Design and Development Through Pervasive Engineering Simulation

Abstract: Organizations have long used simulation-based approaches to develop better products faster and at a lower cost, gain deeper insights into their products, and facilitate collaboration across the organization as well as OEMs and suppliers. As new mobility technologies emerge, engineering simulation software is helping engineering teams to accelerate innovation and overcome the business-critical challenges needed to win the race toward electrification. This presentation will highlight all aspects of simulation in Electrification and provide examples of successes from several OEMs and major suppliers.

Bio: Dr. Zed (Zhangjun) Tang, Global Solution Architect - Electrification at Ansys, Inc.  Zed has nearly three decades of experience in electrical engineering, starting with the bachelor’s studies in electrical engineering at the Harbin Institute of Technology, China. Dr. Tang conducted his doctoral studies in electric machines and drives at Clarkson University. Afterward, he worked as a Senior Design Engineer at Stryker Instruments before starting his career at Ansys as an engineer in various capacities.  Dr. Tang is now leading a global team in Ansys working on various challenges in Electrification across different industries covering all aspects of electrification in Battery, Electric Machine, Power Electronics, Gearbox and System Integration.
