First Unitarian Delegate Application for *All Virtual* General Assembly, June 20-23, 2024  
We welcome any current member of the congregation to apply to represent us at the UUA General Assembly which will be held online from June 20-23. The cost is $295 per online registration; however, members can apply to the Women's Leadership Alliance to cover $200 of the fee (Click here for Women's Leadership Alliance Grant Application). (If you need additional help with the fee, please speak to Rev. Ana (ana@firstubrooklyn.org). You must be a member in good standing and 16 or older to apply. If you are unsure of your membership status, please contact Garnett Losak (garnett@firstubrooklyn.org)
The 2024 General Assembly will feature a consequential vote.The Delegates to the 2024 General Assembly will choose whether to adopt changes to Article II of the UUA by-laws.  Because your vote would represent First Unitarian's congregation's will, you must be prepared to participate in at least one, and possibly more, discussion groups for members and friends of First Unitarian.

For youth...
Youth are encouraged to apply! First talk to Meagan Henry, our Director of Education and Family Ministry (meagan@firstubrooklyn.org). You must also check with your school and parents to make sure you can work around your end-of-school schedule. Even online, attending GA can be a transformative experience! Once you've been green-lighted by Meagan and your parents, go ahead and complete this application.

If you are not selected as a delegate, you may still attend the conference online. First Unitarian is a force because of everyone involved. Bring your gifts to workshops, learn, and make friends. Attendees who are not delegates are not required to attend the General Sessions (also known as Plenary Sessions).

Individually and collectively, First U delegates commit to fully and honestly represent the will of the members and congregation of First Unitarian at General Assembly. In order to do this, First U delegates commit to educate themselves about the proposed changes to Article II of the UUA by-laws, attend UUA led on-line mini-assemblies  in May, 2024 regarding Article II, as well as lead at least one discussion group for members and friends of First Unitarian. First U delegates commit to attend every general session during GA (dates and times listed here, subject to change) and other events at their discretion.
