Global Collaborator Meet Up Roles
1) Ignite Talks - We will be hosting ignite talks. Ignite talks are very short presentations with 20 slides that auto-advance every 15 seconds. These presentations should relate to global education topics and opportunities. Currently, we have 4 open slots for ignite speakers. If you are accepted for an ignite, use Google Slides for these talks and share them with Lucy Gray at lucy@lucygrayconsulting by June 24th. Ignite talks are open to K12 teachers, university faculty, and our partners. Speaking slots are limited.

2) Roundtable Discussions - Sign up to facilitate discussions and note-taking on topics related to globally connected teaching and learning.  You do not need to be an expert on these topics; you just need to have an interest! We will have two repeating rounds of this networking activity. See suggested topics in the agenda below for ideas. Roundtable discussion leaders are K12 teachers, university faculty, non-profit leaders and our partners.

3) Global Resources Fair - We will host an informal global resources fair at GED and will have tables available where educators, non-profit organizations, and partners can place materials for attendees.

4) Global Resources Show and Tell - Sign up for the Global Resources Show and Tell. This activity occurs at the end of this session. Volunteers sign up to quickly show a tool or resource that supports globally-connected teaching and learning. This activity is open to K12 teachers, university faculty, non-profit leaders and our partners with priority given to K12 teachers and university faculty. Slots are limited.

Participation Requirements
  • Applicants for ignite talks and the show and tell portion of the program must be educators in K12 schools, university faculty, or partners. Spaces are limited.
  • Roundtable discussion leaders can be educators from K12 schools, university faculty, non-profit representatives, and partners.
  • Non-profits, partners, and K12 educators are welcome to share written materials about their projects and programs on our global resource fair tables.
  • If you represent a for-profit company, you are welcome to attend our event, but you must be a partner in order to give an ignite, facilitate a roundtable discussion, share materials, or participate in the show and tell portion of the program.
  • Non-profit organizations leaders can facilitate roundtable discussions, share materials, and participate in the show and tell portion of the program.
