2025 LRIG-New England Marsha Paul Education Grant Application
The Laboratory Robotics Interest Group of New England (LRIG-NE) is providing up to $2,500 will be awarded to those science, technology, engineering, and math teachers in secondary schools throughout New England who best meet the criteria below.  The objective of these grants is to provide funds to expand project-based activities in educational settings.  To learn more about the LRIG-NE please visit us at http://new-england.lrig.org.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
  • Applicants must be schoolteachers in New England, teaching in grades 8-12.
  • Each applicant is required to submit the Grant Application listed below.
  • The application objective should not be the creation or support of a robotics club.  If you wish to do this, we encourage you to apply for our Sponsorship Grant.  Please use this link to apply for the LRIG-New England Sponsorship Grant.
  • Agree to present a summary of the successful project at a LRIG-NE meeting. Agree to provide copy of any presentations of the project funded by the grant. Agree to the posting of a summary of the project on the LRIG-NE website.
Applications will be assessed on the following criteria:
  • The degree of scientific and technology concepts introduced.
  • The perceived ability of the program to enhance students learning of scientific and technical concepts.
  • The breadth of the population (participants, peers, community) impacted by the project.
  • Quality and thoughtfulness of the written proposal.

  • Applications using Arduino/Raspberry Pi
  • Automated hydroponics
  • Weather station
  • Creation of Manufacturing and Design Concepts
  • Cybersecurity/Cryptology
Important Notice:  
Multiple applications from the same school/town will be reviewed but only one application may be selected.  The LRIG-New England reserves the right to change our opinion on a case-by-case basis.  The LRIG-New England reserves the right to request receipts for all expenditures to makes sure all funds distributed are accounted for and spent accordingly.
