MIND THE GAP:
A LENTEN DAY OF REFLECTION
ST. COLUMBA’S EPISCOPAL CHURCH & RETREAT HOUSE
ASH WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 26, 2020 | 10AM – 4PM | REGISTRATION STARTS 9:30AM
The Season of Lent is a time of personal and communal introspection, where Christians throughout the world join in solidarity to look inwardly at who they are and who they are becoming in Christ. This Ash Wednesday you are invited to join Fr. Vincent, Vicar of St. Columba’s, to ‘mind the gap’ between those two concurrent realities. Through presentations, silent meditation, personal and group reflection, and an Ash Wednesday Eucharist, Fr. Vincent will help participants reframe our ancient Lenten observances by exploring what it means to live into our deepest identity as other Christs in the world. How might we together make a fearless spiritual inventory of our ‘gaps’ in self-awareness, Christ consciousness, and love of others. What shifts in my spiritual life when I realize I am already that which I seek to become? Fr. Vincent will offer a series of tangible Lenten practices to assist us in this endeavor.
A simple vegetarian lunch will be provided.
Participants wishing to stay overnight at our retreat house may do so at the reduced cost of $30.00 for the night (either Tuesday night or Wednesday night pending availability).
Requested donation $30. Lunch Included. All are welcome. No one turned away for lack of funds. Email
